Beverly Avenue Project

Beverly Ave Project - Phase 3A

Project Update - Sept. 16, 2019

**If you are a resident in this area and have issues finding parking because of the construction please contact Ethan Williams for a temporary parking permit. You can reach him at 304-284-9222 or at ewilliams@hrg-inc.com.**

The section of Beverly Alley between 3rd and 4th Street seen below will be completely closed to vehicular traffic and parking from Sept. 16-20. Green River Group will continue to work in this area on Monday grading and preparing the road for pavement during the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday the contractor plans to pave this section of road with base and wearing course asphalt and there will absolutely no access in the area circled below for vehicles while asphalt is being placed. All residents are strongly urged to park elsewhere and avoid this section of the Alley between the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Paving may continue in this area Thursday and Friday but will likely be completed by Wednesday.

There will be construction activity on Beverly Avenue between 4th and 5th Street in the area below during the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm on Sept. 19 and 20. Once the contractor finishes paving on Alley D, the plan is to continue preparing this area of Beverly Avenue for pavement. Local traffic will be allowed through as needed.

There may also be additional construction activity on Beverly Avenue between 4th and 5th Street as Mon Power and Frontier continue to relocate utility pole and lines.

On street parking on Beverly Avenue between 4th and 5th Street will remain closed.

Overview

Beginning March 11, construction will begin on Beverly Avenue and Beverly Alleyway. The expected substantial completion date for this phase of the project is August 9. These dates are dependent on weather and unforseen conditions. As the construction begins, we will try to reduce the impact to residents in the area; however, parking and traffic will be affected. We will update this page frequently with project information including parking and road closures. You can also sign-up by clicking the Beverly Ave Project Alerts title on the right to receive text and email notifications about upcoming parking restrictions, traffic restrictions (i.e. possible changes to one-direction traffic), pedestrian detours and full road closures.

This construction project includes Beverly Avenue, 4th Street, Beverly Alleyway, and the 5th Street Right-of-way between 3rd Street and 6th Street. This streetscape project includes widening and repaving of the roadway, stormwater upgrades, sidewalks and ADA curb ramps, lighting, retaining walls, and dumpster enclosures.
