[ARCHIVED] Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on April 11, 2018, Officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a reported fight on the 400 Block of High Street. Upon arrival officers found that the fight was a stabbing and that the suspect fled the area on foot.

The Morgantown Fire Department, Monongalia County EMS and MPD officers provided emergency medical treatment to the victim, Charles BISHOP, 50 years of age of Morgantown, who was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he underwent Emergency Surgery and currently in stable condition.

The suspect was later found on Willey Street near University Avenue and was taken into custody without incident. Brady PIPER, 40 years of age of Morgantown was charged with Malicious Wounding and is currently awaiting arraignment.
