[ARCHIVED] Morgantown Police Investigate Listravia Avenue Shooting

On Monday December 10, 2018, at approximately 8:45 p.m. officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that occurred in the area near Listravia Avenue.  Officers responded to 2045 Listravia Avenue where a victim walked into a local business and reported that he had been shot.    

EMS responded to the scene and performed immediate medical attention and transported the victim to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The victim was treated for three gunshot wounds and is currently undergoing treatment. 

Detectives were called to the scene and it appears that the shooting occurred in an alleyway on the 2000 block of Listravia Avenue. Detectives have been working through the night and are following up on a number of leads in order to obtain and execute search warrants and conduct interviews.

Because this case is ongoing, limited information is available at this time. However, the Morgantown Police Department does not believe there is any danger to the public and this is an isolated and specific incident.
