MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – The City of Morgantown Municipal Court will be closed beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 for training. The court will reopen for regular business hours on Friday, May 3.
All employees of the municipal court are attending a state wide training on May 2 at the Stonewall Resort in in Roanoke, West Virginia. The training is being held to educate municipal court employees on the new online system for the remittance of court fees and fines to the state treasurer office.
In the past, each court has filed their monthly remittance manually. The monthly remittance includes the corresponding court’s form along with payment via check or ACH. As of Thursday, May 2 all remittance forms and payments must be submitted online by the city municipal court.
