[ARCHIVED] First Week of Student Return Calls for Service

During the first week of Student return, the Morgantown Police Department responded to a number of Calls for Service resulting in a variety of citations and arrests. Police have the preliminary figures, as all citations have not been processed and several warrants have yet to be served.


Below is a summary of events from the period of August 11, 2017 through August 20, 2017:

Calls for Service = 2260

Total Criminal Citations = 310

Underage = 120

Open Container = 117

False ID = 3

Littering =25

Larceny = 1

Possession Controlled Substances = 5

Disorderly Conduct = 9

Public Intoxication = 5

Noise/Nuisance Party Violation = 3

Unlawful Sale/Furnish to Minors = 16

Other = 6


In addition to the 310 Criminal Citations, the 29 individuals were arrested for a variety of criminal offenses.
