[ARCHIVED] Morgantown Police Respond to Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 14, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of High Street and Pleasant Street. According to the 911 MECCA dispatcher, the vehicle had fled the scene without stopping.

The caller provided a description of the vehicle which was located at approximately 9:14 a.m. in the Sabraton Area.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Shane Alan MCIE, 48 years of age, of Anmore, West Virginia. MCIE was placed into custody and charged with Hit and Run with Injury, Failure to Render Aid, and Driving Without License. MCIE was released on a $4,500 bond.

The pedestrian was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
