[ARCHIVED] Morgantown Police Arrest Fugitive

At approximately 1:58 a.m. on November 16th, 2017, officers of the Morgantown Police Department were conducting security checks in the Sabraton area of Morgantown. Officers observed a suspicious person wearing a hooded sweatshirt coming from the rear of a closed business. As officers approached him he became nervous and evasive. Officers continued the investigation to determine whether or not entry was gained into any of the surrounding businesses and found the suspect to be in possession of controlled substances.
The suspect attempted to flee from the officers by running through Decker’s Creek and into the woods. The suspect was caught after a brief foot pursuit and taken into custody without further incident.


The suspect was found to be in possession of Buprenorphine and Methamphetamine. The suspect was identified as Justin Michael TURNER, 29 years of age of Morgantown. A records check revealed that TURNER was a wanted fugitive wanted by the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office of Maryland.


TURNER was booked into the North Central Regional Jail pending arraignment for Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance and charged additionally as a fugitive from justice.
