City of Morgantown Announces Monthly Tire Disposal Program

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Starting June 10th, The City of Morgantown will begin offering a new tire disposal service through the Public Works Department. 

On the second Saturday of every month from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., West Virginia residents will be able to dispose of up to 10 tires at the Morgantown City Garage for free. 

"Monongalia County has had only one opportunity for tire disposal in the last five years," said Vanessa Reaves, Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Morgantown. "So we are thrilled to begin providing a steady resource for tire disposal at no cost to residents."

Businesses will not be eligible for participation in this program.
