Morgantown History Museum Announces Free Kids and Family Days Program
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - In the months of March and April, the Morgantown History Museum will offer a new Kids and Family Days program. On select Saturdays, children can participate in interactive activities to learn about the rich history of West Virginia and the historical significance of Morgantown.
These 90-minute programs are free for children ages 8-12. Children who wish to attend must be registered by a parent or guardian on the Morgantown History Museum’s website at https://www.morgantownhistorymuseum.org
The program schedule is as follows:
March 5
12-1:30 pm – Morgantown’s Textile Industry
2-3:30 pm – Morgantown’s Mining Industry
March 19
12-1:30 pm – Native Peoples in Morgantown
2-3:30 pm – Animals of West Virginia
April 2
12-1:30 pm – Morgantown’s Textile Industry
2-3:30 pm – Morgantown’s Mining Industry
April 23
12-1:30 pm – Native Peoples in Morgantown
2-3:30 pm – Animals of West Virginia
“These programs are a great opportunity for kids and their parents to learn more about the history of Morgantown and West Virginia while interacting with real artifacts in a museum,” said Vincent Kitch, director of Arts and Cultural Development for the City of Morgantown.
