[ARCHIVED] WVU Student Injured in Fall

At approximately 4:49 p.m. on April 11, 2018, Officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a fall at 400 Forest Ave. Upon arrival officers found the Morgantown Fire Department and Monongalia County EMS providing emergency medical treatment to a male that was reported to have fallen backwards over a balcony located more than 30 feet above the ground.

The victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The victim has been identified as Colton HODGE, 22 years of age, a student of WVU and is in critical condition.

The Morgantown Police Department is committed to its goal of eliminating crime in our city.
