[ARCHIVED] City of Morgantown to Hold Annual Celebration of America


The City of Morgantown will hold its annual Celebration of America Parade on July 4. The parade will take place at 6:00 p.m. on High Street.

Participation in the event is free and all are welcome show their American pride by decorating their entry. Participants are required to fill out an entry form by June 27. The entry form can be found at

As part of the celebration, the public is also invited to participate in the “Decorated Bike Event”. This event will allow participants to ride down High Street on their personally decorated bicycles as part of the parade. Participants should meet at the Spruce Street Parking Garage at 5:00 p.m. to turn in registration forms. For more information on the event and to print off an entry form visit  

The city will be hosting live musical performances by local talents from 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. on the Court House Square. Local youth praise groups, soloists and choirs are invited to
