[ARCHIVED] Morgantown Police Respond to Possible Stabbing

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, Morgantown Police and EMS responded to a call of a stabbing at Deckers Creek Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the individual that reported the stabbing. That individual told officers that a female stabbed a male and that both had left the area. Officers discovered evidence of bleeding on the scene and followed a trail of blood but were unable to locate the victim. Officers were able to locate the female. She was questioned and released. The incident is currently under investigation.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers located an individual fitting the description of the male victim. During initial questioning, the male fled on foot from officers. As the male fled, he was seen by officers discarding items which were later identified as stolen property. The male was able to elude officers. Police are searching for a white male, approximately 6 ‘ 1” with sandy blonde hair, a beard, and a bandage on his right arm.
