The City of Morgantown's Annual Paving Project Work Begins June 5

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Anderson Excavating will start work to complete the City of Morgantown's annual paving project today, June 5, beginning in the Evansdale Area.

Crews will mill and repave Harding Avenue, Country Club Drive, portions of Oakland Street and University Avenue, and various surrounding alleyways and smaller streets primarily northeast of University Avenue.

Work will occur during daylight hours, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will continue through at least Friday, June 7.

When finished in Evansdale, crews will proceed to work sites in the Sabraton and Greenmont neighborhoods in the second and third weeks of June.

More updates on scheduled work activities will be provided as the dates approach. Barring weather delays or other unknown complications, all work in these areas is slated for completion before July 1.

Roadway users are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes and additional travel time to reach destinations in or through the Evansdale area for the rest of this week. Residents, workers, and visitors to the area should remember that on-street parking restrictions have been posted for at least 48 hours and will be enforced with potential towing of parked vehicles if they interfere with planned work.

The City of Morgantown sincerely appreciates everyone's patience and cooperation as it works to maintain and improve our streets for all users. Additional information on the paving project can be found on the City's website.
