City of Morgantown Names New Director of Communications

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The City of Morgantown is pleased to announce that Drew Bailey has been hired as the new Director of Communications. Bailey will start in the position on Monday, December 5th.

"My family and I are grateful to be here in Morgantown and to work with this great community. The people of this city welcomed us with open arms, and we have loved our time here thus far," said Bailey. "This city is truly unique and filled with genuinely kind and hardworking people, and I am excited for this opportunity to serve them. My hope is that as we continue to grow and develop as a city and as a people, we will continue to find ways to lift our communities to new heights."

Bailey, who holds a Master's degree in communication from Marquette University, previously worked as the senior brand marketing strategist for Advent. He also currently works as a freelance communication strategy consultant for Bard & Bailes, LLC.

"We are thrilled to have Drew joining our team," said City Manager Kim Haws. "His wealth of knowledge in communications and marketing will be incredibly beneficial to the City of Morgantown."
