UNDBIO Inc. Delegates Come to the City of Morgantown to Discuss Upcoming Development

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - City of Morgantown representatives met with delegates from UNDBIO Inc., the Korean insulin manufacturer on Thursday, April 13, 2023. 

City representatives and Monongalia County Commissioner, Tom Bloom welcomed the company to the Morgantown area and discussed ways the groups can support each other during the upcoming developments. 

State officials announced Wednesday, April 12, 2023, that UNDBIO Inc. signed a lease with West Virginia University for a site in the WVU Research Park. The company will build an insulin manufacturing plant in Morgantown and plans to break ground on its new facility in September or October of this year. 

Accompanying the representatives from UNDBIO Inc. were members of the Enterprise Economy Division and Uijeongbu local government. 

"Having the opportunity to meet with the company representatives was an honor," said City Manager, Kim Haws. "This is a large advancement for the Morgantown area that will provide jobs for hundreds of individuals and we want to have a relationship where we are all able to support each other."
