IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to renovations at Morgantown City Hall, all City Council meetings will be held in the Monongalia County Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Monongalia County Building at 243 High Street.

• An Ordinance Authorizing a Lease Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration at the Morgantown Municipal Airport
• An Ordinance Authorizing a Lease Agreement with ACME Land Holdings, LLC at the Morgantown Municipal Airport
• An Ordinance Authorizing a Lease Agreement with Met Billiards, LLC at the Metropolitan Theatre

  
  

• An Ordinance Amending Article 1718 Entitled "Vacant Structure Code"
  • This ordinance updates the vacant structure registry to limit registration fees to $100 for properties that are well-maintained.  It creates a new process for building officials and fire marshals to inspect properties and issue a determination that property is maintained in compliance with property maintenance and life safety codes so that it is eligible for the reduced fee. Structures that are not maintained in accordance with those laws will remain under the existing fee schedule reflecting increased costs due to properties that are vacant for a long time.
• An Ordinance Adopting the Fee Schedule of the City of Morgantown
  • This ordinance updates the combined listing of fees charged by the City for various services, mainly applications, permits, inspections, and plan review provided by the Development Services and Fire Departments.  It includes fees for re-inspection and missed inspection under the Vacant Structures Code.
• An Ordinance Authorizing a Real Estate Purchase Agreement with James L. Laurita, Sr. Family Limited Partnership
  • This ordinance authorizes a purchase agreement for property at the Morgantown Municipal Airport.  It includes property currently needed for the runway extension along with property that will be useful to the airport for its runway protection zone and for any future expansion and development at the airport.
• Bid Call 2023-08 TSA Checkpoint Reconfiguration at the Morgantown Municipal Airport 
  • Council will consider awarding a construction bid to reconfigure the security checkpoint at the airport to include larger machines TSA plans to use as well as to make restroom accessibility better for travelers.
• A Resolution Authorizing Application for a Grant for a Connector Bridge at Eastern Avenue and Flagel Street

  • This Resolution authorizes application for a Recreation Trails Program grant to fund construction of a pedestrian/bicycle bridge crossing a stream between Eastern Avenue and Flagel Street, forming a connection between neighborhoods and rail trail access.

• BID Award for New Elevator at City Hall

  • This item will consider award of a construction bid to install a new elevator as part of the ongoing City Hall renovations.
