City of Morgantown Announces Two Days of Charles Wesley Godwin Concerts
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The City of Morgantown is proud to announce that country music singer, songwriter, and Morgantown native Charles Wesley Godwin will return to his hometown on Friday, December 15, and Saturday, December 16 to perform at the Metropolitan Theatre.
"We had a tremendous response from his performance last year during the Ruby Summer Concert Series," said Vincent Kitch, Director of the Arts and Culture Department, "We are excited to announce his return to Morgantown for not one, but two great concerts at the MET."
Artist presale tickets will go live on Thursday, August 24 for one day only from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM EST. General public tickets will be available through the Metropolitan Theatre website starting on Friday, August 25 at 10:00 AM EST.
The show is set to begin at 8:00 PM with doors opening at 7:00 PM. This show is meant for all ages and tickets will range from $35.00 to $75.00, not including taxes and fees.
"I’m thrilled that the Allegheny High band and I will be performing at The Metropolitan Theatre this December! Growing up in Morgantown, playing at the MET was a dream. I can’t wait to close out the year in my hometown and share these songs with everyone," said Charles Wesley Godwin.
The special guest performance for the December 15 concert will be by Huntington, WV native pop-rock performer Corduroy Brown whose music can be described as Appalachian Indie. For the December 16 show Morgantown, WV native and pop-rock performer William Matheny will be the opener.
Charles's new album, which is currently available for pre-order, Family Ties, will be coming out on September 22.
