Morgantown Police Department to Host Women's Open House

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Morgantown Police Department will be hosting its very first open house for women on Wednesday, October 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1389 Earl L. Core Rd.

The evening will include light refreshments, a meet and greet with the women on duty, a group discussion with Lt. Molly Linthicum, a tour of MPD’s new training facility, and a session with the training simulator. No prior experience is required for attendance.

The purpose of the open house is to encourage local women to learn more about working in law enforcement.

In 2022, the Morgantown Police Department became a part of the 30x30 initiative. This established MPD's goal to achieve 30% women recruits by the year 2030.

For more information about MPD's upcoming open house for women, please contact Jenn Harker by email at jharker@morgantownwv.gov or by phone at (304) 284-7496.
