Morgantown Fire Department Responds to Kitchen Fire at College Park Apartments

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - At approximately 5:10 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, October 25th, the Morgantown Fire Department was alerted to a fire at College Park Apartments, located at 80 Newton Avenue.

MECCA had received notification of a stovetop kitchen fire at the apartment complex and promptly dispatched fire units. Upon arrival, MFD C-Crew found a sprinkler-controlled fire inside of an apartment. 

Fire department personnel quickly ensured that the fire was extinguished, and accordingly shut the flow to the sprinkler system. No injuries were reported during the incident.
