Demolition Projects Set to Begin in East End Village

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The City of Morgantown is informing residents of the East End Village about the upcoming demolition projects scheduled to begin on Oct. 7, 2024. The city’s contractor, Reclaim Co., will initiate the process by demolishing two structures located near the former Richwood Grill.

Once these structures are removed, the lots will serve as a staging area for the subsequent demolitions of additional structures within the zone. This project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance neighborhood infrastructure and create more vibrant and diverse community spaces.

“We appreciate the understanding and support of our residents as we kick off this project,” said Rickie Yeager, Director of Development Services for the City of Morgantown. “Also, we would like to thank our community partners for making this project possible and we look forward to keeping everyone informed as plans progress.”

The City of Morgantown, along with its partners, is dedicated to improving our neighborhoods and fostering a thriving community. Resident cooperation during this time is greatly appreciated.
