Ruby Summer Concert Series Named 3rd Best Outdoor Concert Series in the U.S. by USA Today
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The City of Morgantown is pleased to announce that the Ruby Summer Concert Series has been named the third-best outdoor concert series in the United States by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
“We are incredibly grateful to all the fans, both near and far, who took the time to vote for us and who continue to show up year after year,” said Vincent Kitch, Director of Arts and Cultural Development for the City of Morgantown. “Their support is what makes the Ruby Summer Concert Series so special. This recognition speaks to our incredible artists, amazing community, and our entire city staff.”
This year’s lineup features nationally touring artists with local and regional opening acts:
- June 6 – America’s AC/DC Tribute: Thunderstruck with The Delaneys
- June 13 – Hinder with Gene the Werewolf
- June 20 – Chase Matthew with Huey Mack
- June 27 – Los Lonely Boys with Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns
- July 11 – Huey Lewis Tribute: Heart of Rock & Roll with Rick K.
- July 18 – Dasha with The Bennett Hall Band
- July 25 – Village People with Eli & The Mojo Kings
- Aug. 1 – Jimmy Buffett Tribute: Changes in Latitude with Steel Away
- Aug. 8 – Sierra Hull with the WVU Bluegrass Band
- Aug. 15 – Deana Carter with Melissa Quinn Fox
- Aug. 22 – Hoobastank with Corduroy Brown
- Aug. 29 – Maddie & Tae with The Hobbs Sisters
Operated by the City of Morgantown, the Ruby Amphitheater continues to showcase the city’s appreciation for the arts and live music, offering family-friendly entertainment all summer long.
The Ruby Summer Concert Series is presented by the City of Morgantown and the Hazel Ruby McQuain Trust with support from numerous sponsors.
