City of Morgantown Announces Official Halloween Events

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Trick-or-treating in Morgantown will take place citywide on Thursday, October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Before the evening festivities begin, families are invited to the Halloween Spooktacular at the Ruby Amphitheater from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This free community event will feature candy giveaways, kid-friendly activities, and informational booths hosted by local businesses and organizations. Additional entertainment includes the screening of "Hocus Pocus 2" at 5 p.m. and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at 7 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to continue providing free, fun, and safe events for the community,” said Vincent Kitch, Director of Arts and Cultural Development for the City of Morgantown. “Halloween is a great time to bring people together, and we hope everyone comes out to enjoy the festivities.”

For local businesses and organizations that wish to participate, please apply HERE.

Participants are encouraged to help create a festive, welcoming atmosphere by handing out candy, snacks, or goodies (required to participate), or sharing informational materials.

All vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, candy, decorations, and any other necessary setup items. Displays should fit within a 10x10 space and be respectful of neighboring setups. Creative decorations are welcome and encouraged. If special accommodation is needed, vendors are encouraged to share that information on their application form.
