Small Business Saturday Paired with Free Parking
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The City of Morgantown will celebrate Small Business Saturday on November 29, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., inviting the community to shop locally and support the businesses that make downtown a destination for residents, visitors, and students alike.
To make visiting downtown even easier, the Morgantown Parking Authority will offer free parking from Thursday, November 27, through Sunday, November 30, and again during the holiday season from December 20 through January 2.
Main Street Morgantown, with sponsorship from Breezeline, is hosting this year’s event at the WVU Retail Lab, which will feature Shop Small giveaways and festive visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. While attending, visitors can pick up the Downtown Holiday Gift Guide, featuring exclusive offers, promotions, and events from participating businesses throughout the downtown area.
“Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to celebrate the local businesses that make Morgantown unique,” said Morgantown City Manager Jamie Miller. “By offering free parking all weekend, we hope to make it easier for residents and visitors to experience and enjoy everything our incredible downtown has to offer.”
Dana McKenzie, Executive Director of the Morgantown Parking Authority, highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting local businesses and holiday shoppers as well.
“We’re proud to support this initiative during Small Business Saturday and the holiday season,” said McKenzie. “It’s our way of encouraging the community to visit our amazing city during the most wonderful time of the year.”
