Sealed Bids for construction of the MORGANTOWN METROPOLITAN THEATRE ROOF REPLACEMENT, BID CALL 2020-03 will be received by the City of Morgantown at the office of the FINANCE DIRECTOR in the City Municipal Building LOCATED AT 389 SPRUCE STREET, MORGANTOWN, WV 26505 until 2:00 p.m. local time on January 10th 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of the installation of a 2-ply SBS modified membrane roof recover system of approximately 9,500 sf.  Included in the Project is the replacement of all roof drains, aluminum copings, gutter & downspouts, and flashing on parapets, vertical penetrations and mechanical equipment.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum (fixed price) basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Alpha Associates, Inc., 209 Prairie Ave, Morgantown, WV 26501, 304-296-8216.  Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above, or online https://www.thinkalphafirst.com and accessing the ‘Bid Center’.  Bidding Documents are available on CD or DVD (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $50.00, including shipping via overnight express service).  Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents.  The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $100.00 per set, payable to “Alpha Associates” plus a non-refundable shipping charge.  Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Owner nor Architect will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time, on December 17, 2019 at The Metropolitan Theatre, 371 High Street, Morgantown, WV 26505 starting in the Lobby.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not mandatory.  Questions may be submitted until 10:00 am on December 30th 2019.
