Whether you’re tackling a DIY project, sprucing up your yard, or organizing a neighborhood clean-up, the toolbox helps make it happen.

By removing the cost and hassle of purchasing specialized tools, MO.T.O. empowers residents and community groups to take pride in their spaces, work together, and keep Morgantown safe, welcoming, and well cared for.

What can I borrow?

You can view the tools we have available to lend here. Tools are loaned for a total of seven days, with the possibility of one 7-day renewal period (if no other reservations are pending). If tools are not returned within a timely manner, a late fee of $1 per day will apply per tool. After 30 days overdue, the borrower is charged the full replacement cost. Borrowers with unpaid fees cannot check out additional tools. A cleaning fee of $5 may also apply if tools are not returned in clean condition. Additionally, Borrowers are responsible for replacement costs if tools are lost or damaged beyond normal wear. Only the individual who signed the waiver may operate tools, except in the case of local organizations where a representative has signed for the group. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is available for checkout with certain tools.
