    February 1, 2026, 11:00 AM - February 23, 2026, 5:00 PM

We are proud to announce the installation of the exhibit, Celebrating the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This traveling exhibit, designed by Eve Faulkes, Professor Emerita of Graphic Design at West Virginia University, and supported by the Community Coalition for Social Justice of Morgantown, WV, will be on display through February 23, 2026, in observance of Black History Month. The exhibit portrays the impact of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the immediate impact it had on the creation of the Voting Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act of 1968. Visitors can explore the impact of this and other legislation through the eyes of those who were there, including Ruby Bridges, John R. Lewis, Bayard Rustin and many others. The Morgantown History Museum is open Wednesday-Friday 11am to 5pm and Saturday-Sunday 12-6pm. See you there!
